Digital artist, based in Washington, DC., he applies mathematical equations to the digital reconstruction of physical phenomena (e.g., meteorology and the flocking patterns of animals). Morse employs his computational paradigms to project mesmerizing sequences of imagery that recreate natural events such as clouds floating through the sky and waves lapping on a beach. Through his methodology Morse produces fascinating tension between his own digital inventions and forces definitively beyond human control. We are elated to add this artist’s unique methodology and masterful formal sensibility to the gallery’s font of pioneering digital media.
