Biography:
Born in Pinerolo (TO) (IT)
She begins painting in Rome where she moves with her family; she alternates regular studies with painting, encouraged by the Masters who welcome her in their studios. De Chirico himself notices her talent when she is a child, and Tolomeo owes most of her vocational training to him.
She begins to be known and esteemed in Europe having been invited to the international exhibition "D'Après" in Lugano in 1971; soon after, she makes her debut in her first personal exhibition in Rome at "Lo Spazio" gallery. From then onwards, she has been showing in more than 90 exhibitions of her own.
She has been working abroad mainly: Vienna, Ginevra, Zurigo, New York, Londra and Parigi are some of her most significant stages. However her prestigious works of art are shown in Italy too (Milano 1993, Palazzo Reale; Mantova 1995, Mantegna's House). From 1997 onwards she has not been exhibiting her paintings anymore. She has begun an extraordinary production of sculptures which makes her well-known all over the world.
