He works for a number of established Advertising Agencies in Milan and collaborates with Milan's Triennale Musem.
He lives and works in Milan. Mastrometto has been a part of some very prestigious art shows like Miart - Bar Giamaica - Miami Design District.
HIS PHILOSOPHY
Collages usingfine digital technology to reproduce an impossible and illusionary human being.
Mastromatteo looks at Magritte and Man Ray's images for inspiration. He features sweet delicate but disturbing faces, with hands that allow the eye to pierce through, with ears…
The white and light homogeneous backdrop lets the eye pierce through the characters' traits in a theatrical silence of the absurd. Faces seem expressionless and have no tension thus provoking the viewer to reflect about the uncertainties of the third millennium.
Mastromatteo's goal in fact is to achieve, through these models, a sensation of fascination and repulsion at the same time.
