Biography: 
23.10.1917 Born in Porto (PT)
1930 - 1936 Made illustrations and cartoons for newspapers and children’s publications.
Studied drawing and painting at the Silva Porto Academy.
1947 - 1948 Studied fresco and engraving techniques at the School of Fine Arts in Paris.
Studied under Duco de La Haix.
Received lessons from Othon Friesz at the Grande Chaumière Academy.
Made copies of the masters in the Louvre.
Visited museums in Belgium, The Netherlands, Great Britain and Italy.
1949 - 1950 Teacher of ceramics in a small school in Viana do Alentejo.
Contacts with the writer Virgílio Ferreira and with the artists Júlio and Charrua.
Met Almada Negreiros and E. Viana in Lisbon.
First trip to Norway as a guest of Oddvard Straume.
Stayed in Orstavik.
1975 - 1976 Joined the management of ESBAP full-time
1994 - 1995 Made ceramic panels for the Sete Rios Metro Stration in Lisbon.
