Biography:

1912 Born in Nagano (JP)

Toshinobu Onosato is known for his geometric patterns with a circle spiraling outwards. Often interpreted as a "modern geometric mandala," his optic art includes works like "Galaxy." Another work in the museum collection "Six Circles" bears no similarity but Onosato's interest in circles is obvious. Relatively simple in appearance, the work does have a strong presence. Onosato was born in Nagano, Japan.
