“20 FLASHES OF FREEDOM”

The twenty years of a free and democratic Poland remind us that today we are part of a Europe to which we brought our contribution of the Solidarity movement and the overthrow of Communist dictatorship. We learn freedom from the mistakes we make, which, however, still give the opportunity for new solutions and must be perceived from a broader perspective without any loss of the local Polish context. The exhibition will be a significant element of the project, broadening the cultural, social and political context of the place that the shipyard is and making more available in selected works the Polish view of the reality of the past twenty years. Images, installations, video works and objects, in diverse ways connected thematically with reflections about democracy, freedom of expression, the public space, the market and religion, will illuminate the Polish landscape with a few flashes.
