Anastasia Khoroshilova, who was born in Moscow, presents sensitive photographs portraying persons who live outside their own world, outside their homeland, and who have exchanged their homes against living with others for a limited period of time. The 25-year-old photographer is particularly interested in people who – like herself – have grown up in Russia and Germany.

Anastasia Khoroshilova engages in intensive preparations for every photo session. Prior to a person-to-person talk, she will investigate the neighborhood surrounding the person about to be photographed. It is only after the shutter has clicked that the final version of a photograph has been fixed.
