Art Fair: Aqua Art Miami at the Aqua Hotel 2007 (over)

This year Aqua Art Miami will take place in two locations simultaneously, one at the Aqua Hotel in South Beach, near Art Basel Miami Beach where we first launched the fair in 2005. Our additional new venue, Aqua Wynwood, is in a warehouse in Miami's Wynwood gallery district, near important venues like the Rubell Collection and many others.

This year we'll feature 44 galleries at the Aqua Hotel, with more than half of the dealers being new to our fair. Based on the west coast, fair organizers have made it their mission to promote noteworthy programs in their region as well as the greater USA, with a particular interest in supporting young dealers and galleries with strong emerging artist programs. Approximately a third of the galleries are from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, with the remainder being from a wide range of other cities in the US and abroad.

The hotel itself is a classic South Beach boutique hotel with breezy, spacious rooms surrounding an intimate courtyard, which has become a favorite gathering spot to relax and socialize during Art Basel week. Our event is located within walking distance of Art Basel, just south of the bustling Lincoln Road restaurant and shopping area. Many hotel beach bars and cocktail events are close by and the glorious beach itself is just a block away.

An Aqua shuttle will run in a continual loop between the hotel and Art Basel Miami Beach each day during regular event hours, stopping near the Botanical Garden across from the Convention Center entrance D.
