art affairs is showing again works by armando, a choice from different periods: 1960-2003.
armando's painting fascinates by its archaic, spontaneous character and the obvious struggle with the matter. at the same time, his shaping is uncomplicated and the choice of colors matches the seriousness of his subjects. it is restrained and mostly limited to the non-colors black and white, with an occasional dash of ochre. but then, unexpectedly - and especially lately - he surprises with a firy red or a bright blue, as if the artist wants to emphasize that inspite of being many-sided, in first instance he is a painter.
we are showing paintings with titles such as 'fahne', 'der baum', 'baumgruppe', 'der turm', 'landschaft', 'damals' - sculptures 'kopf', 'die hand' , 'schwarze schale'- drawings and prints.
