From the Petit Palais to the Place de La Concorde the world’s greatest avenue will host from October 23 to 26 « Art Elysées » formerly « Elysées de l’art ». The title has changed but not the organizers’will to promote and develop this fair as a vital meeting place for art in France as well as on international markets.
Galleries from all over the world will participate in this event. On the Parisian scene dedicated to modern and contempory art « Art Elysées » seeks to revitalize the image of the city as center of cultural exchange and as a leading player in the globalized art market.
The spirit of the fair has been marked since the first edition by a unique concept and a demand for quality that triggered the interest of a large number of professionals. The public soon followed, intermingling collectors and enlightened amateurs as well as visitors passionate about art and culture. For these reasons, the first edition turned into the expected success.
For this new edition of « Art Elysées » galleries will benefit from a prestigious location. The luxury shop windows and facades of the Champs-Elysées will showcase works of art (painting, sculptures and photography) bearing the most celebrated signatures of today’s artists.
Chaired by Beaudoin Lebon, artistic director of « Art Elysées » and a key figure within the artistic community, the selection committee is dedicated to ensuring that the exibits and the atmosphere meet the criteria of quality and distinctiveness that have been established.
Finally, « Art Elysées » is not only a platform for exhibitions and sales for galleries, it also remains a space for culural exchange where teaching and learning are focal points. Tours and art history conferences will be organized for students from local schools.
