Bernadette Mittrup will be presenting her tatest video Installation entitled "Sophia" in the former transformer Station in the Hackesche Höfe. As in her earlier works, the artist focuses on the movement of her own body. The constant repitition of a found movement joined with the noise generated by it, develops into a rhythmically animated image. This poses a stark contrast to the title ofthe work, which triggers completely different expectations in the beholder.
Bernadette Mittrup was born in 1973 in Warendorf, near Münster. She lives and work in Berlin and Cologne. Last year two of her installations were on show at Maschenmode in Berlin.
