The exhibition gives for the first time a complete presentation of Per Højholt (born in 1928) as media artist. The idea is to show that part of his work where the use of modern media and the aesthetic medley are predominant. Per Højholt is mostly known in Denmark as a poet and a writer, in particular as author of the famous Gitte’s monologues, which became a kind of popular hit in the 1980’s. Beside Højholt’s literary production there is a massive body of work linked to TV and film, radio and different show forms. With original material from TV, radio or film archives at its centre, the exhibition is carrying out a kaleidoscopic journey into Per Højholt’s artistic practices. | |||||
