BLOOOM/BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER
BLOOOM is excited to be the world's first interdisciplinary presentation platform for artists and art projects in the creative industries. The second edition of BLOOOM will take place from October 29 till November 1, 2011 | Staatenhaus am Rheinpark, Cologne.
BLOOOM takes place within the same timeframe and space as ART.FAIR - FAIR FOR MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART offering an even greater opportunity for exchange and inspiration amongst all parties.
International participants - ranging from fine arts, design, music, performing arts, fashion and literature to radio broadcasting, architecture, press, advertisement, software, and games - present their latest creations and works in an amazing location in the heart of Cologne, Germany.
Last year 32.000 art lovers and supporters for BLOOOM and ART.FAIR were counted and with all the positive feedback we are confidentially aiming for an even higher number in visitors this year.
The BLOOOM Award started successfully in 2010 with more than 600 submissions in Germany. It is part of Warsteiner's long-term commitment in the fields of art and design to a recent and young branch of cultural production. In 2011, it will expand to include the Netherlands with its vivid and internationally networked art and creative scene.
As well as in Germany, young Dutch artists and creative minds are asked to develop interdisciplinary ideas and to draw from the different genres of art and creative industries. The finalists' works will be shown at the special show BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER. The first prize for the German and the Dutch winner is a one-year mentorship and a trip to Art Basel Miami Beach. The works can be submitted until July 31, 2011 via Internet.
