"Danzad, danzad, malditos" constitutes a critical reflection of reality, with its contradictions and lies. The title, referring to the film by Sydney Pollack ("They shoot horses, don't they?"), hides the acidity yet typical of this andalusian artist.
The work by Carlos Aires prompts us to a world where opposites collide. Reality and fiction, true and fakeness, natural and artificial, tradition and contemporariness, are dichotomies that here are confused. The unity of his work is defined in the right moment where these dichotomies are conciliated.
Through photography, video and installation, Aires invites us to discover, always from the irony, the dark side of the most artificial appearance of our present.
The opening will take place on May 28th from 19h30 in ADN Galerķa and the exhibition will remain until July 30th.
During the first week the artist will be here to give information or interviews if necessary.
