For her first solo exhibition with the gallery, Ceal Floyer has made 2 new works that show the two spaces at their most minimal. For "Til I Get It Right", the artist took one line from a song by Tammy Wynette, which keeps on repeating ad infinitum, therefore turning the romantic and loosely sung original into a repetitious analysis with failure and persistance. This audio piece is played in the main gallery, which is otherwise left completely empty.
In the smaller second space we will show on one complete wall the video work "Apollinaris", a film of the sparkly action happening above the rim of a glass of mineral water, which shown in this bigger size resembles more of a fountain or some abstracted fireworks.
