With his installation DNA Berlin, Clemens Krauss will create a fresco-like painting at the DNA Gallery, Auguststrasse, Berlin. During a three-week-residency Krauss will paint directly onto the 100m2 walls of the gallery. The piece is part of his series "Das Körperkörper-Problem" (The Bodybody-Problem) and consists of a countless number of anonymous figures, indifferent in terms of sex and age, built-up in pastose paint upon the wall, which otherwise remains completely white.
The works of Clemens Krauss, born 1978 in Graz, Austria, were shown in 2005 at Artforum Berlin, Art Cologne and Art Basel Miami Beach, amongst others. In 2006 he will
participate in "The Youth of Today" at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt and "Anstoß! Berlin" at
the Haus am Waldsee, Berlin.
