The Kunsthalle is presenting a monographic exhibition of the Bosnian installation and video artist Danica Dakić (*1962), who lives in Düsseldorf. In her films, photography, video and sound installations, Danica Dakić addresses the cultural, political, and geographical parameters of language and identity. Drawing on her experience as an immigrant, she examines the construction of identity and home through war, social change, and globalisation processes. Dakić, who exhibited in the documenta 12, shows her many-facetted work for the first time in such scope. Afterwards the exhibition is shown at the Generali Foundation in Vienna and then at the Museum for contemporary art in Zagreb.
