Denisa Lehocká, Untitled, 2010
The element which connects the very different artistic works of Denisa Lehocká and Boris Ondreic(ka is the principle of dessemination, of the dispersal of artistic resources across a multiplicity of media and expressive forms. While the point of departure for Denisa Lehocká is a genuinely sculptural attitude, one which extends the classical vocabulary of sculpture while translating it into complex spatial arrangements that encompass found objects and materials as well as graphic elements, Boris Ondreic(ka's works ranging from drawing to performance and installation primarily move along the borderline between text, sound, and visuality.
The double presentation of these two Slowakian artists takes the form of an artistic dialogue through which their works are developed in situ and in response to one another. Badischer Kunstverein is delighted to present the first comprehensive show of both artists in Germany.
