'Good Bears : Bad Bears' 21st October - 4th November 2006

Dirk Larsen's paintings are oblong in format - in the size of an opened fairy-tale book, inhabited by fantastic creatures. These figure are the inventory of an unearthly world, the situations evoke fables or adventure stories. Childhood fantasies emerge, but in scenarios which have little to do with happy endings of childhood fairy-tale magic.
Dirk Larsen's fables are sinister.

Dirk Larsen is continuing to work on the 'Good Bears:Bad Bears ' series in preparation for a very exciting exhibition at the Modern Artists Gallery 21st October - 4th November 2006.
