In her work Egle. Budvytyte. (Kaunas 1981) is concerned with how our awareness of and sensitivity to the environment is constructed and conditioned. She uses various medias, such as radio broadcasts, videos and stages semi-scripted situations in an attempt to blur imaginary and real, to question the social conditionings and the common-sense realities.

Besides the screening of Magicians, on Thursday the 19th of May we will screen Leap (5 min. 2009) a video that features how architecture can be used and abused, to jump, to stretch, to hide.

Egle. Budvytyte. lives and works in Amsterdam. In 2008 she completed a Master at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. From the end of this year she will be on residency at Palais de Tokyo/ le Pavillon, Paris.
