at the our gallery from the 25th of February to the 2nd of March 2004 will pass the personal exhibition and presentation of cataloque by ELENA FIGURINA (painting).

Elena Figurina was born in Ventspils (Latvia) in 1955. In 1979 she graduated from the St.-Petersburg Institute of Aircraft Construction.

She started painting in 1976 and had her first exhibition in 1978. She was member of a non-official group of independent artist, called Association of Experimental Art (TEII), where she regularly took part in exhibitions.

Also she took part in more then 150 exhibitions in Russia and abroad.

Paintings of her can be found in the private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Australia, Poland and Russia. Book about her art appeared in the "Mir" publishing house.

Elena Figurina lives and works in Saint-Petersburg.
