One work consists of a mirror whose face is made up from the trail of four shooting stars (E.F.12, 2004). Moving in front of these >stars< the spectator is reflected in them, so much so that he becomes one himself, thus illustrating Andy Warhol´s prophezy that everyone will have his or her fifteen minutes of fame (even if in truth it is less). Under the apparent anonymity of the title given to his star works - the initials >E< and >F< (for >Etoile Filante< meaning >shooting star<) - the artist is in particular denouncing the phenomenon of third-rate >starification<. | |||||
