India Song is an acoustic installation, where you'll experience through a pair of headphones another space all the way round than the one you're in. This virtual room is moving, as you were dancing.
The moving virtual room is acoustically furnished, and has otherwise a series of characteristic sound sources: a piece of piano music, a ventilator and a little ambient rain.
The project is inspired by Marguerite Duras’ India Song, from which there will be quotations on the walls in the space where the headphones will be hanging.
India Song is developed in collaboration with Ørsted Institute, DTU and Jens Holger Rindel, Claus Lynge Christensen and Felipe Otondo and with great support and help from Bach Recording and Ole Mosegard and from Kylie Walters, Christina Hansen, Andree Tavares, Lone Bjelke, Kirsten Dufour and Finn Thybo Andersen and the Bourse de l'Aide à la Création de la Ville de Genève. |
