ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jan Thomas studied sculpture at the HfKD Burg Giebichenstein Halle and was master student under Prof. Bernd Göbel. 1998 he was awarded the Erasmus-scholarship for the Athens School of Fine Arts. After that, a long line of renowned scholarships and prizes followed, such as one at the École Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris , the post graduates scholarship of the federal state Sachsen-Anhalt and the Ars Halensis art prize of Dresdner Bank. Jan Thomas lives and works in Halle/Saale.
