The CCA Andratx is pleased to present the last exhibition by Majorcan artist Joan Vallespir (Inca, 1969). Titled "Taller Ambulant" (“Travelling Atelier”) the artist presents in CCA Espai an artistic project that aims to reflect on the pursuit of personal serenity through the acceptance of one's own defects, showing corrections during the process.

Through self-exploration in childhood memories, the artist lets emerge its own iconic alphabet; silhouettes and shapes of cars, trucks, planes, birds, etc... "Taller Ambulant" reflects the continuous search for concepts and feelings that result in a very interesting symbolic, artistic and personal language.

The approximately 100 pieces forming the sample invite us into a journey through the artist’s childhood and adolescence memories, where a myriad of images and icons of the 70s confluence. Through photographs, clippings from magazines and newspapers, representing objects and textures, Vallespir shares with us the sensations experienced at that time and which coexist in the same person over a lifetime.

Joan Vallespir’s work has been shown in a number of solo exhibitions, among which are those presented in the Contrast Gallery in Barcelona (2009) and Addaya Centre of Contemporary Art in Alaró (2008). In addition, his works have participated in several group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, highlighting his recent participation in the International "Supermarket" Art Fair in Stockholm, in 2013.
