joel fisher (*1947 ohio) shows new work at art affairs. besides drawings and sculptures, fisher recently has turned to photography and painting.

in his local area in vermont, he discovered frozen waterfalls, that have resulted from man intruding in nature. roads have been carved into the mountains, diverting the flux of water from its natural flow. at summertime, these mountains were just wet, but at wintertime, the wet spots became bizarre shapes, resembling fisher´s sculptures.

when his eye spotted this phenomena, he started a series of photographs; unique vintage prints, as well as small sizes brought together in two portfolios of six images each, edition of 12.

besides, an A5 booklet of his photos, in an edition of 50, was published for this occasion by october foundation of eindhoven. copies of which are available through art affairs.
