Opening: Thursday, 15th November 07, 7 p.m.

Josef Felix Mueller grappels since the beginning of his career as an artist with the nature of the human being. Since the turn of the millennium he uses painting as instrument to illustrate and reconstruct nature. At the early stages of his works his means of expression were drawings, sculptures and graphic prints.
Simon Bauer, art historian and curator, delineates Josef Felix Mueller´s work as graphic and representational and thinks it evolved within the last few years into naturalism-although the term naturalism is ambiguous it now has a different meaning, thinking of the changing global environmental situation. |
