Nostalgia is Julia Ciccarone's fourth solo exhibition at Niagara Galleries.

The artist has produced another imaginative and thought-provoking series of paintings which have a strong and deeply psychological narrative.

Family, tragedy, journeys, healing, renewal and hope are inter-meshed in the thematic concerns of this profound body of work.

Award-winning filmmaker Kasimir Burgess has again been inspired to co-write and direct a film based on these new paintings by Ciccarone. This is their second collaboration as artist and filmmaker. The completed short film is destined to be shown at film festivals in 2010, however it will preview at the gallery during the exhibition.
