SPECTA is happy to present the new installation "The Exquisite Corpse Orchestra" by Lars Arrhenius & Daniel Westlund. The Exquisite Corpse Orchestra is exactly what the title says; an ensemble where different body parts together form an orchestra.
Exquisite Corpse is a well known surrealistic game where one person first draw a head, the next person the body and so forth. In Lars Arrhenius' and Daniel Westlund's four channel video installation the separate parts are pointless on their own, but together they create a musical harmony. If you for example isolate the video of the bottom you have a meaningless farting potato dumpling! The point of the Exquisite Corpse-game is that the individual parts are without meaning alone, but as a collective they form a whole, how ever bizarre it might be. The tango in The Exquisite Corpse Orchestra deals with passion, sex and broken hearts yearning to be together!
