The place for artist’ video & films
LOOP’13 will celebrate its 11th edition, from the 23rd to the 25th of May in Barcelona.
Considered the first fair exclusively devoted to moving image, LOOP is the event to discover, promote and discuss artists' film & video in its best conditions. Produced by Screen Projects in parallel to the SCREEN Festival and the LOOP Studies, the event transforms Barcelona into a dynamic professional hub for the exhibition and community making of moving image art by attracting a tightly-focused audience, coming equally from the concomitant fields of contemporary art and cinema.
The accent of the event falls on the work and the artist: the work is selected by an international committee and is shown as a solo-project format. Premières are taken into special consideration, and numerous work will be shown for the first time, such as Ivan Argote, Elena Asins, Adela Babanova, Gaëlle Boucand, Diego Bruno, Gary Hill, Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, Carlos Motta, Javier Pérez, La Ribot, amongst others.

Also, being well aware of working with a time base medium, we keep the event to a small scale and familiar atmosphere, furthermore highlighted by the fact that is held in a hotel.
For its 11th edition, the committee has undertaken a careful selection of artists’ films presented by their galleries, which includes the première of new works by Carlos Motta, Hans Op de Beeck, Gary Hill, Elena Asins, Ivan Argote or Adam Chodzko, amongst others. LOOP is a professional meeting point and an invitational platform for moving image artists’ projects presented by their galleries. Putting the accent back on the piece presented, it has established itself as a space of discovery through the careful selection of work by our committee and the emphasis given to premières.
