"Why bandits run faster than policemen?"

Why bandits run faster than policemen?
After studying official life in my hometown I decided to look through private family pictures. I decided to study more deeply the work of Marian Kusik, an amateur photographer who came to my hometown at the beginning of the 1980s to work in a local chemical factory. Photography was a tool for him to become a member of the families. Then he followed and documented their lives for years. He created very sensitive, usually not staged, images of everyday life and family celebrations of the baby-boom generation during the period of normalization. Non-historical private footage thus becomes historic evidence of a certain mood. Something similar would not be possible nowadays. Everybody documents their children themselves. I was one of those he documented. It was my first encounter with the medium of photography. Later he gave me my first camera.
