Luise Unger
Drawings and Sculptures
August 31 - October 4, 2002 at OMC Gallery for Contemporary Art, Duesseldorf
With an introduction of Nadia van der Grinten.
The exhibition presents a competent overview of the work produced during the last 10 years. In the sculptures of Luise Unger the color black is program and part of the reduction which leads to emphasizing the sculptural expression. Steel, rubber, hemp, iron, wax, tissue, wood…hardly anything is left out in the artist's joy to experiment. Turning the inside out and vice versa, creating a balance between manifesting and dissolving, Unger develops her own three dimensional language of creating shape. |
