In the project room, Richard Levy Gallery will exhibit sculpture of New Mexico based artist Amanda Marcott. The artist uses industrial materials to create images from childhood memories that refer to safety and protection, but have been rendered useless by their construction. Paddles are made from steel and fabric to resemble leaves and branches. Roller skates hang useless on a kayak paddle. Marcott earned an M.F.A in Sculpture from New Mexico State University in 2006, and a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota in 2005. | |||||
