With the title "The Meaning of Life" Sebastian Weissenbacher resumes one more time, and with sarcastic variations, the critical intention that one finds in his works time and again - namely to reveal and to uncover the spiteful absurdity of life patterns staged by society, by applying banality in a merciless fashion. With his radical and intelligent taste, the artist chooses iconological means of expression which - as they remind us of comics and trivial aesthetics - blaringly call up the clichés expected by our wishful thinking which we thought that we had overcome - yet, always without the furry after-taste of a moralizing attitude.
