 Stef Heidhues, w. t., 2010 | | |
The filigree installation views of Stef Heidhues, who lives and works in Stuttgart and Berlin, are combinatorily developed constructs in space or on paper. Her spacial works follow the principles of collage intergrating picturesque and graphic elements. They smartly refer to constructivist attempts of modern art, but only to question the assertion of an autonomy and self-referentiality of form by a fragmentary aesthetic. By using found, unstable and rather trimmed materials Stef Heidhues challenges the systematisation and rationalisation of levels of meaning in her criticism of form. She favours the significant and highlights the polysemous figure. |
