Paolo Piscitelli

Born in Venaria in 1971, Piscitelli lives and works in Turin, where he emerged during the mid nineties. His work finds expression in installations that use sculpture, drawing, video and photography. Piscitelli tries to open up the definition of the finished work from both a temporal and spatial point of view. He uses conceptual, audio and visual stimuli to go beyond the apparently defined boundaries of his works.

Gianni Caravaggio
There isn't any difference between construction and content *

The research of Gianni Caravaggio is to materialize an art work that is fenomenologicaly open. He does not present the result of the creative process but the creative process itself: The formative gesture is a metaphore of creation. In that perspective Caravaggio defines a vision of time that is metamorphic and transmutable. His work forms a temporal body: "Reality seems to me to be hiding its possible temporal dynamics. The perception and conception of reality through time become fluid forms of thought in action. It is not a question of documenting or illustrating or projecting but a matter of contemplation.
My work is not a representation of the world as it is but a new perspective from which to see it: a sugar cube, a grain of salt or a seed become the stimulus of creative reality." His work amplifies these incentives creating a relationship between the observed object and the touched object , the sensation and the "nomination", the portion and the whole. Every particle of space wants to exist into a kind of Zenoan concept of space and time which simultaneously extends, grows, contracts and transmutes itself, creating a metamorphic body.

"Tempo drugato"
The video exhibited, also entitled "Tempo Drogato", is a specific search into circular overlapping waves that are formed by raindrops on the water surface.
It creates disorientation and confusion between perception and reality
