TWISTER grew out of an international competition by invitation, curated by ten museums involved in the project, with the collaboration of national and international advisors.

In the first phase of the composition (Step 1) the names of 58 artists were put forward and, in a second phase (Step 2) 20 of them were chosen to design a site-specific / site related project and 5 for to design the network project.

Finally (Step 3) the 10 winning projects were selected for the different museum premises and one network project that will link together the TWISTER artworks.
