Winston Roeth, Inside Yellow, 2005 tempera on honeycomb aluminium panel [installed at the Ingleby Gallery, March 2005] | | |
We have stolen a line from Barnett Newman for our new group exhibition Who's Afraid of Red Yellow & Blue? It is a follow on, in a way, from a very successful show that we held a couple of years ago under the banner White - although as the title suggests it provides an opposite view. The show concentrates on an unrelated group of painters from the UK and US whose work is marked by a delight in (and fearlessness in the face of) colour, often used in a pure or monochromatic form. Installation images can now be seen on the website with more to follow shortly.
The exhibition runs until 14 May and we are open from Tuesday –Saturday, 10am –5pm or by appointment at any other time.
