YOUNG ART TAIPEI (YAT) is the very first contemporary art fair in Asia that focuses on young artists under the age of 45. This fair aims to be served as a platform for contemporary art in Asia. Held in May each year, YAT has become an important stage for discovering emerging stars in Asian Contemporary Art market.
YAT 2009 took place right after the financial storm stroke the globe. Even so, its delicate yet amiable exhibiting atmosphere, the experienced domestic collectors and the participation
of 42 International galleries from all over Asia. This year, YAT 2010 holds attention, and expand the participation bigger to 57 galleries. Proudly present the gallery from Europe, Spain, to join us. All that glitters is from YAT integrity promotion of “Young Art Award” and “Affordable Art”. YAT 2010 has reached the incredible numbers of selling to more than 395 pieces.
YOUNG ART TAIPEI has become an international platform for contemporary arts. Our focus is not only on the final sale prices and the numbers of transaction but also on the arts, itself, and hope to enlarge and integrate Asian contemporary art market.
In 2011, we will invite 60 galleries attending YAT, and promote artists who have significant bodies of works from different perspectives. YAT aspires to create a refined and elegant contemporary art platform for galleries, curators, artists, collectors and visitors.
