The Singapore Platform, now in its third year, is a curated exhibition showcasing works by some of the most exciting Singapore artists. Building on past successes, the Singapore Platform has helped raise the profile of local artists, who have since been chosen to exhibit at reputable international galleries. For the 2013 edition, the Singapore Platform will be developed by
ority to grow the capabilities of Singapore artists, and provide opportunities for them to produce ambitious new works. In addition, for the first time, the new Singapore platform aims to develop curatorial capabilities by appointing young Singaporean curators to develop the exhibition.
The Indonesia Pavilion at Art Stage Singapore 2013 will be one of the largest international showcases of contemporary Indonesian art to date:
The Pavilion is designed to reflect the unrivaled development of Indonesia
which is the strongest and largest market in Southeast Asia.
The most important and interesting Indonesian artists and art collectives, up to 65, ar featured in the fair (36 presented in a sales exhibition inside the Pavilion, the rest are presented by galleries in the fair).
The specially created artworks comprise a diverse range of media and disciplines.
Leading Indonesian galleries are present either inside or outside the Pavilion. (inside the Pavilion there are Nadi Gallery, Semarang Gallery, D Gallerie and Element Art Space)
An education centre managed by the non-profit Indonesian Visual Art Archive (IVVa), will contain a small library and a screening and discussion area for documentary screenings and talks.
