Buchmann Galerie Berlin/Lugano Hall 2.0 Stand B10 Buchmann Galerie Berlin/Lugano is pleased to announce its participation in Art|42|Basel. Here are some of the highlights to be presented at Stand B10 in Hall 2.0 TONY CRAGG Lost in Thought is the latest sculpture in wood by Tony Cragg and is part of a group of works by the artist of that name. The work is built up from layers of white oiled wood, has a highly complex structure, and testifies to Tony Cragg's immense power of innovation when coming up with new forms for sculpture. LAWRENCE CARROLL Structured like a window, this wall hanging by the American artist features a folded canvas painted yellow in each of its form segments. Looking into this painting is like looking into a landscape. The work is related to the Sleeping Paintings in the Panza Collection in Varese. At the same time, the work is part of the artist's latest group of works, whose theme is the light in his adopted city, Venice. TATSUO MIYAJIMA In Diamond in You, Tatsuo Miyajima treats the themes of space and time. The LEDs counting at different speeds allude to differences in the perception of time. This sensation is also dependent on the space reflected and refracted in the diamond-shaped structure. BETTINA POUSTTCHI At Art Basel in 2010, the artist presented a large photograph on the facade of Hall 1. As a continuation of this work on the world time clock, in which the artist is photographing public clocks in every time zone showing the same time, we are presenting three works from this series and the large sculpture Double Monument (for Flavin and Tatlin). Other works by Mario Merz, Wolfgang Laib, Wilhelm Mundt, and Sean Dawson will be presented. High-resolution images are available from the gallery at any time.
