An invitation for artists to stage a performance, event or exhibition in the Ra?ka Erotic Gallery

The gallery of eroticism - Ra?ka (http://www.celeia.info/galerija_racka), located in Celje / Slovenia, which used to be a peep show, now stages exhibitions, performances and other events (as well as a permanent collection known as The Ugly Duckling) with which it tries to interpret various forms of eroticism, sexual behaviour and sexual identities.
Celeia Center for Contemporary Arts is inviting artists to cooperate in the 2011 art programme of the Ra?ka gallery. The tender is open to all works that deal with erotic and sexual questions. It is open to artists from Slovenia or abroad as well as to curatorial proposals. Artworks created in various media will be accepted: from performance art to paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, animations, video or sound projects. We also except suggestions for other events linked to eroticism.
Do not send in original artwork, but merely documentation (photographs, sketches, video and audio recordings, etc.) that will present the artwork in detail.
The application needs to include:
-name and surname of the artist or group of artists, address, telephone and e-mail
-title of the artwork and its year of production
-information on the technical equipment needed to exhibit the work
-an exact presentation of the artwork
-a statement of artistic work
Celeia Center for contemporary arts will provide a fee for the artist, cover the transportation costs of the works of art, will inform the public, help set up the exhibition and cover smaller production costs.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Celeia Center sodobnih umetnosti(Celeia Center for Contemporary Art) is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2004 with the main mission to initiate, develop and promote contemporary visual arts in the local, regional and international context.
Situated only one hour from the capital city of Ljubljana, and being one of the most representative institutions for the production and display of contemporary visual arts in the Stajerska region of Slovenia, the Center represents a creative hub devoted to arts, culture and theory, as experienced in the specific conditions of current social, political, and economic situation. Under the auspices of the City Council of Celje and its Cultural Department, the Center has been actively engaged in the project-based cultural programming in cooperation with the partners across the region (in Maribor, Graz, Zagreb) and beyond.
Center for Contemporary Art Celje is a complex of three exhibition venues in the downtown area of Celje: Galerija sodobne umetnosti (Gallery of Contemporary Art, since 1993), Likovni salon (Likovni Salon Gallery, since 1963), and Galerija Racka (Racka Gallery, since 2006). One of the Center's main activities is its Artist-in-Residence programme (up to two months) initiated in 2005.
