• Next Thursday, March 22, 2012, the exhibition Farberkundung, showing new works by German painter Edgar Diehl will be opended.

Philosopher and art critic Johannes Meinhardt notes on Diehl´s work:

"... Using very different methods in his paintings, which at first glance seem highly regular and arranged, Edgar Diehl generates a great many irritations, shifts and changes in perspective that can even go as far as 'morphing' phenomena. This has very little to do with optical illusions: only an identifying awareness that seeks to determine objects can be feigned. Instead Edgar Diehl's objects expose observers to the experience that what can be seen is only a complex effect of the situational perceptive conditions. ..."

Along with his second solo exhibition at dr. julius | ap Edgar Diehl´s new catalogue will be released and launched at the opening. In an artist talk on Saturday, March 24, 2012, he offers to explain his work to the public.
