Galeria Isabel Hurley

Galeria Isabel Hurley

Private Gallery
Galeria Isabel Hurley Isabel Hurley Gallery was opened in November of 2007 with the aim of promoting Contemporary Art by means of spreading emergent, midcareer and established artists from different countries and by the promotion of art collecting.

In addition, the gallery holds an international project and the vocation of becoming a platform for debating about the different contemporary art expressions. It becomes in a plural line that accommodates all the art formats, specially attending to new technologies and tendencies. Because of this, besides exhibition assemblies at the own gallery, it works on new proposals in collaboration with other commercials and institutions, and to attend to art fairs, both in Spain and abroad. From the start of its activity, to spread both gallery and its artists work, it publishes bilingual and multimedia catalogues periodically - printed short book and a CD or DVD format-.

The gallery is conscious of the urgency of approaching contemporary art knowledge to youth, who are the only way to develop a solid cultural and market fabric, by expanding and consolidating the incipient one. This is the reason why the catalogues are compounded by a professional text, the unpublished artworks of the artists and texts and audiovisual works made by students, from high school and university. It also often collaborates with University, by receiving practical students, organising art workshops with gallery artists or giving lectures in postgraduate courses.

Finally, as statement of intent, the gallery's priority is the relationship with the artists, who the gallery aspires to be their extension to pass on the genuine meaning of their artwork.
