|20 years GALERIE URSULA WALBRÖL|
|On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of my gallery|
I would first like to thank all artists for the trust they have placed in me and for the many insights I have gained through their artistic creativity. Partaking in their insights and views has enriched my life considerably and contributed to my lasting love of art and conveying art. I would also like to thank all those who have accompanied my gallery work with great interest, especially the collectors, curators and art lovers, as well as those who have repeatedly visited and commented on my exhibitions.
I am particularly grateful to Rupert Huber, Achim Kukulies, Clemens Krümmel, Alexander Roob, Jürgen Spitzner, Anna Wesek, and Bärbel + Udo Wittner for their years of valuable support.
I opened the first exhibition of my gallery on October 27, 1989 on the ground floor of a semidetached house in Hilden, where I presented 27 shows until I moved to Düsseldorf in 1994. I continued my work from 1994-1996 in new spaces on Ackerstraße 199 in Düsseldorf. In 1997 I moved to Kirchfeldstraße 13, where I showed, among others, the 8-part exhibition series "Snowflake Office" curated by Clemens Krümmel in 1999. Starting in December 2002, things continued on Kronprinzenstraße 9, where I began roomsharing with Marion Fricke, which I have continued with Anna Klinkhammer and since March 2008 with Cora Hölzl. The synergy effect of this kind of spatial association has proven itself very well.
I am looking forward to continuing my successful gallery work with all of you - with inspiring exhibitions and interested visitors!
