Abu Dhabi Art Booth B10 Saadiyat Cultural District, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates 16 – 19 November 2011 Hauser & Wirth is delighted to participate in Abu Dhabi Art 2011 with a presentation of work by Louise Bourgeois. The centrepiece of the booth will be 'Cell (Black Days)', one of the last cells Bourgeois made before her death in 2010. With 'Cell (Black Days)', Bourgeois created an independent architectural space in which she could explore themes of time and history, allowing the viewer to be a voyeur of her own private capsules of memories. This work is positioned as a hybrid, somewhere between an installation and a sculpture, with the viewers physically removed from the inner confines and yet invited to participate visually with the tableaux in front of them.
