Three gallery-based Workshops for Children aged 5 - 17 yrs, 6 and 7 January (4.1.2011)
 
   Highlanes Gallery is preparing for 3 exciting gallery-based workshops for Children and Young People next week.

Thursday 6 January / 5 - 8 year olds
10.45am - 1.00pm
Natural Landscapes led by facilitator Lynn McGrane. Children will visit and discuss different types of landscapes. The Big Picture made by the participants will be a highlight of the workshop.

Thursday 6 January / 9 - 12 year olds
2.00pm - 4.00pm
All about Abstraction - facilitator Lynn McGrane will lead the way through abstract art and contemporary music associated with it. Emphasis of the workshop is put on exploring the materials and not worrying about the end product.

Friday 7 January / 13 - 17 year olds
2.00pm - 4.00pm
Christmas Workshop led by artists Declan Kelly and Els Borghart.

Places for the workshops are limited to 13, and each place is €5.00 with discounts for Friends of Highlanes Gallery. These gallery-based workshops will focus on the current exhibition Assembly which features work from public collections in Co. Louth.
