When I take a step back and watch the world go by
it at first seems to be a good place to be;
letting others hit their heads, not getting involved,
saving my energy, my means, my meager riches...

But what kind a life would that be?
We are here to put meaning in to what we do.
We spend our energy, our means, and get involved,
pushing against the forces that hinder
what is good and right.

So here's wishing you a Happy Holiday.
May all your energies be spent on worthy aims next year.
The only thing to be afraid of is giving in to global resignation.

Be bold, be daring, and be aware that
whatever you do will be better
than what ever you don't.
