| Billboard for Edinburgh: Bethan Huws - New installation & limited edition print | ||||
|
The new billboard installation by Bethan Huws has just been unveiled. Huws is the 11th artist to create a work for Ingleby Gallery's 10ft x 14ft billboard in the heart of Edinburgh. Huws text-based piece continues her interest in the work of Marcel Duchamp. The text can be interpreted in different ways; perhaps a reference to Duchamps' carefully planned and researched approach to making work or maybe a nod to Duchamp's place in the history books as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Huws has also realised her image as a two-colour screenprint which is now available for sale from Ingleby Gallery priced at £350 + VAT (unframed). Bethan Huws billboard installation coincides with her solo exhibition, Capelgywn, at Whitechapel Gallery, London (29 January - 18 March 2011).
