Since its creation in 2002 by Galleries' Association of Korea, Korea International Art Fair(KIAF) is now opening its 4th exhibition in Seoul. Comparing to other international art fairs in Asia newly established but yet inactive, KIAF is taking its firm position in international art scene as well as in art market. Now KIAF, along with CIGE in Beijing and Shanghai art fair, is in competition to join and take prior part in northeast asian art market representing and promoting Asian contemporary art amongst many. But this competition is also engendering active exchange in the asian art scene not only in perspective of sales but also in terms of cultural exchange between countries and art galleries.
